Volunteer Coordinator
Terms: 1 year term, seasonal September to end of November and April to end of June, wage $16-19 per Hour, Reports to Riding Program Administrator.
Responsibility:
To recruit and coordinate an adequate number of volunteers to service the LBTRA various programs
Requirements:
- Excellent time management, team and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in volunteer management or related field.
- Resourceful and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in fundraising would be an asset.
General Duties:
- Responsible for recruiting and coordinating an adequate number of volunteers to service the organization's various programs.
- Coordinate volunteer orientation, assist in organization of volunteer training sessions, including facility tours, volunteer scheduling.
- Responsible for the maintenance of program volunteer database and reference files.
- Maintain program volunteer information materials packages.
- Organize and schedule two program volunteer appreciation events annually.
- Assist the organization in coordinating an adequate number of volunteers to support fund raising events.
- Receive, send and coordinate any telephone, mail, fax or e-mail communications to or from volunteers.
- Responsible for accounting of all expenditures relevant to the volunteer coordinator job function.
- Forward financial transactions to the LBTRA Treasurer.
- Maintain and update records of all volunteer recognition and awards on an annual basis.
- Coordinate Board and Committee volunteer recognition and awards with Administrative Officer.

- Compensation: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
