Horses Retired from the Little Bits Program
Former staff with hooves, these are some of the retired horses that have worked with the Little Bits program. We are thankful for their service and dedication:

Amber
AMBER is a beautiful 28 year-old chestnut gelding. He is very gentle with his riders in the Little Bits program and is very popular. We have just found out that when he goes home every summer, he gets to compete in gymkhana classes.
Bart
BART is a very tall 13 year-old buckskin gelding. He is very quiet and gentle probably because he has some draft horse in him.
Czar
CZAR is a 32 year-old bay gelding. He is often VERY itchy and always likes to scratch his head. Czar is also very good at untying knots!!! When he was younger, he used to escape at night and then go through the barn and open the doors to his horse friends and they would just hang around together.
Freckles
FRECKLES is a very tall 25 year-old grey gelding. He does not like standing for long by the mounting block because he can’t wait to get to work so that his riders can enjoy their ride.
Kiwi
KIWI is a lovely pinto gelding. In his spare time, he enjoys dressage competitions and having his owner ride him side saddle. He is very quiet and gentle.
Prince
PRINCE is a very small (12 hands which makes him a pony) black gelding. He is just the right size for many of the little riders. He doesn’t like to walk very fast because he has a back leg that is a little slow. It does not hurt him at all to be ridden, he just looks a little different than the other horses when he walks.
