Little Bits Achievement Days 2010

Dear Riders and Parents,

Welcome to the new and improved Achievement Days in which our riders can show and share the riding skills they have gained in the past year. It is an exciting day for the riders as they have many fans and friends who will come to watch them show off their riding expertise.
This year we hope to have 100% participation from every class, and are offering great incentives to get everyone involved. The staff has sponsored each rider with a loonie to get them stared….be sure to turn that loonie in with your other pledges Please remember that every dollar earned goes to making Little Bits the best it can be, and if every dollar is returned we will have 100% participation!

The 2010 Board of Directors is offering the following incentives:

Any rider who collects a minimum of $2000.00 in pledges will receive 12 FREE riding lessons for the spring 2011 riding session and 10 hours of Participation Service credit, worth a total value of $565.00.

Any rider (other than the above riders) who collects a minimum of $1500.00 will receive 12 FREE riding lessons for the spring 2011 riding session, valued at $405.00.

Any rider (other than the above riders) who collects $1000.00 or more will be excused from the 2011 Participation Service Component of riding fees valued at $320.00.

Every rider who collects a minimum of $100.00 will have their name entered in a draw to win one of ten fabulous prizes. Those who collect a minimum of $50.00 will get their choice of a Ward Traves print, a Walk-On CD, or a yellow LBTRA shirt.


We look forward to having each and every registered rider participate. Let’s celebrate the achievements of our riders and achieve our goal of raising $20,000.00

Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association is a charitable, non-profit organization which offers the benefits of therapeutic riding to adults and children with disabilities. Our therapeutic riding lessons are provided by our CANTRA (Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association) certified instructors and supported by a large group of volunteers. Therapeutic riding offers the opportunity for physical development, mental stimulation, and social interaction.
Each riding session our riders and their instructors select goals to work towards. Achievement Days is an opportunity to participate in fundraising and celebrate the accomplishment of these new skills.
We strive to provide a quality program at a reasonable cost to our riders. Riders pay a portion of the actual cost of providing the lessons. Your sponsorship will assist us in continuing to keep the cost of our riding program affordable and accessible to all equestrians with disabilities. A donation to the Tuffy Fund allows riders who cannot afford to ride the chance to participate in the program. For as little as $755, a rider can benefit from 22 weeks of riding lessons. In addition, we hope to expand our program to be able to offer riding to more children and adults.
On Achievement Days, families and friends will gather to celebrate the successes of our riders. The riders will proudly demonstrate the skills they have developed. Thank you for supporting one of our riders for Achievement Days 2010.
