Thank you for everyone who donated to Little Bits through Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink (BFK).
All donations go directly to helping our riders and to help new riders be able to become a part of the Little Bits family.
We would like to thank BFK for asking us to become one of their participating charities.
Their selfless efforts in helping charities around the world makes a difference in everyone's lives.
Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association
Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association is a non-profit, charitable organization providing recreational horseback riding with therapeutic benefits for children and adults with disabilities in Edmonton Alberta. Each year, more than 115 riders benefit from our spring and fall program and 50 riders in our winter program.
We have programs for pre-school aged children (Itty Bits), children aged five and a half to 18 (Little Bits) and adults (Big Bits). Once a week, riders receive riding instruction by certified and experienced instructors assisted by a core of volunteers.
The focus is on skill development, enjoyment and the unique therapeutic aspects of horseback riding. Learn more about Our Programs.

I spend a lot of time driving in my van – to and from work in Edmonton and into Leduc from my home at Pigeon Lake. My go-to radio station is 96.3 The Breeze and when I heard about the Helping Grand – well, of course I thought of Little Bits. I sent in the request and much to my surprise on June 24th at 8:00am I answered a call from Sean Burke. I knew immediately what he was calling about and was so thrilled that we were the chosen applicant to receive the Helping Grand that week. There are so many worthwhile causes in and around Edmonton and each a one of them is campaigning for a great cause. We are most appreciative of the money which will help to subsidize the riders in our program and continue to let persons with disabilities enjoy the benefits of horse back riding in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley. Thank Sean and 96.3!!
